Joost Bakker takes us on a guided tour, not just through his garden but into a world of passion, playfulness, curiosity and creativity - the beating heart of his success.

Olinda Village

Explore the charming township of Olinda - The Village Experience. Enjoy lunch in the destination of your own choosing. Select from an enticing range of quality eateries, including a pie shop, cafes, fine dining restaurants and traditional pubs, such as Forest Lounge, The Olinda Cafe and Dudley’s. Our guides will offer an introduction to the village and let you know which eateries are offering specials to our Secret Gardens guests.

Bickleigh Vale Gardens

Bickleigh Vale Village, Mooroolbark - Located in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, this is the original 10-hectare village, built and landscaped by Edna Walling. Created in the 1920s, Walling lived at Bickleigh Vale for most of her life, naming it after the village in Devon, England, where she was raised.
