Karwarra Australian Plant Garden, Kalorama - Guests meet here from 9:00 am for a 10.00 am departure.
The gardens featured on this day include:
Joost Bakker, Monbulk - A champion of sustainability, his garden is modern and well thought out. Joost will share his experience as it has evolved and continues to grow into the surrounding landscape.
Kenloch, Olinda - An extensive landscaped garden, with a significant history in the Dandenong Ranges. Beginning in the 1880s, when then Director of Melbourne’s Botanic Gardens, Baron Ferdinand Von Meuller assisted his friend Charles Henry Kauper in landscaping Kauper's recently acquired 25-acres of Crown Land.
A Gourmet Picnic Lunch will be provided in the Kenloch Pavillion.
Ferny Creek Horticultural Society, Kallista - Expansive lawns sweep past banks of colourful Azalea, Rhododendrons, Pacific Coast Iris and more, with views of the nearby hills and The Great Dividing Range in the distance.
Highways, Sassafras - Magnificent deciduous trees are a feature of this 1.5-acre rambling hills garden surrounding the beautiful English- style house, with a huge gabled roof. Paths encourage exploration of shady woodland areas which open onto mixed borders planted out for year-round interest.
Karwarra Australian Plant Garden, Kalorama - Guests return to Karwarra for a glass of wine and hors-d'oeuvres before retiring to their own accommodation or making their way home.
