Karwarra Australian Plant Garden, Kalorama - Guests meet here from 9:00 am for a 10.00 am departure.

The gardens featured on this day include:

Joost Bakker, Monbulk - A champion of sustainability, Bakker's garden is modern and well thought out. Joost will share his experiences as it evolved and continues to grow into the surrounding landscape.

Winter Rose, Olinda

Built c.1910, Winter Rose is a peaceful and private garden, with wandering paths beneath aged trees, you'll find artworks amongst the azaleas and spring bulbs. An outdoor garden room acts as the owner's art studio for her flower business and creative work.

The Village Experience - Purchase your lunch at a destination of your choice in Sassafras, a charming village with an assortment of cafes and shops. Eateries include the famous Miss Marple’s Tearoom, Ripe Cafe; the new Prosperpina Bakery that is the talk of the town; and Tea Leaves, which has everything required for ‘Taking Tea” including over 300 varieties of tea and teapots of all shapes, sizes and colour imaginable.

The Browns, Sassafras - Over the past three years, owners have cleared, replanted and re-landscaped with unrivalled dedication. Visitors will love this garden.

Hillangully, Olinda - Large stands of rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias and weeping cherries produce a magnificent display in Springtime. Geoff has spent the last few years creating new beds for Summer colour and reintroducing indigenous vegetation along an ecologically important stream running for some hundred meters through this property.

Karwarra Australian Plant Garden, Kalorama - Guests return to Karwarra for a glass of wine and hors-d'oeuvres before retiring to their accommodation or making their way home.
